I supplied all details for the characters I wanted depicted in my illustrations including some photos and of course the manuscript of my stories. Sam immediately was able to grasp the scenes required. I got him to complete an illustration of my main character and this confirmed that Sam Batley would be my illustrator! We then made an agreement.

First, he sent me sketches and then the completed illustrations when I had confirmed satisfaction with the initial sketches. It is a pleasure to work with this talented illustrator.

He worked in a very tight time frame, provided a free sample illustration, and was very flexible throughout the design stage.
